Keeping it in a anime theme with human missions would be great but dont inter-mix with the mechas.. ie. run around under the mechs trying not to get stood on.. However how do you tie it into the story/background smoothly??
guess you could have dome colonies and docking ports on the outside.. then u roam around in a huge metropolis...
Human and mecha mixture i think is more for single player.
Without it it is alot easier. jus big mechs duking it out..
Overall my suggestion.. start with mechs in multi, nice and easy.. then expand after u hear what other ppl want to see and you know what you want to do.

Definetly need Squishy levels too. It would be hard to intermix the two effectively in multiplayer, but it should mega-definetly be in single player when you get to that. If you want it in the first release, it wouldn't be too hard to do either mecha or squishy level like in Shogo. But, then, you'd have to code in a whole new slew of weapons for that mode, too... And textures for that set... etc etc etc.

How about: player can eject when he feels that his mecha will go BOOOM, and when he's ou of the mecha, he has a sniper rifle nd can take down other players in their mecha and take them? 8)
