Ahhh, yes, I've had the steelfalcon site in my favorites for a while. You can get designs from other bits of robotech from here .

Ahhh yes, the 3rd Invid War and Garland cycles. Also can find Palladium stats for rx78 Gundam inthere too. I deeply regret that Dave Dietrich never finished everything. I was happy to find the stats for the VF-5000 at that 2nd site I listed (Macross Dynamite 7 RULES J00!!!)

STILL need to get some Macross7 . Macross Plus simply owns all, in my opinion. Although I did like the slightly militaristic feeling to Gundam 08th Team or whatever . Not the best, but some nifty designs for how gameplay mechanics should go, because I doubt we could have Macross-style battles. Not even Sam can have that large of a distance.

It's all in map design. Q3 didn't have that large of maps but they used the space they had well enough that you got alot of mileage out of them. Really, SS could have the huge spaces it would require but I don't think that computers would be able to play them fast enough . Miles of open sky lead to some large r-speeds (I haven't played around with it enough to experiement with that yet but I assume that it is still a problem.) But, I suppose judicious use of fog might prevent that from happening.

Actually, Sam handles open spaces really well. Its just that the ideal size is about 15 km, and all the Macross battles involve too much fighter-mode battles and not enough soldier-mode. Note: This poting back and forth is really fun, but maybe you should just get on irc .
